The genre of post-black metal has often been mislabelled. This is the case where it can be used appropriately. Incredibly composed music with an intelligent progression.
Smohalla begun in 2006 with their demo and was immediately well received. Less then a year later their first EP was the talk of the critics corner, and sold out within half a year. Over the next two years the band released various covers on compilations and tribute albums, while preparing their debut full-length. This seems to be the most promising black metal act to come out of France since Blut Aus Nord. You don’t want to miss out on this one…
